How does SOUL INK ensure safety? Historically, tattoo ink brands have concentrated on fulfilling artists' creative desires, prioritizing professional quality and performance. However, this often came at the cost of safety, as production was largely based on anecdotal experience rather than standardized guidelines. SOUL INK sets a new precedent by rigorously adhering to Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 for the selection of materials and quality control processes. What is Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 and SVHC? Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 - Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) The purpose of this regulation is to ensure a high level of protection of human health and the environment. Under REACH, substances that are one of the following can be regarded as substance of very high concern (SVHC): carcinogenic, mutagenic or toxic to reproduction (CMRs); persistent, bio-accumulative and toxic (PBTs); The SVHC list is updated from time to time to ensure that newly discovered substances of very high concern are added. On January 23, 2024, The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) in its 30th update of the REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization, and Restriction of Chemicals) Candidate List announces the addition of five new hazardous chemicals, increasing the total to 240 SVHC entries. 4. Which country does SOUL INK come from? It's not uncommon for our materials to originate from Japanese factories or to be produced by German companies operating in China. However, we are poised for global expansion, with plans to establish production lines in additional countries and regions worldwide. 5. Which series does SOUL INK have? Depending on safety level, SOUL INK is divided into EU series and non EU series. EU series: The series products not only meet the material screening standards of Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006, but also comply with EU laws and regulations in labeling and marketing. The series is sold ONLY in the EU market. Non-EU series: The product complies with Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 standards and is sold outside the EU. Classified by artistic performance, it can be divided into Mountain Series and Ocean Series: Mountain Series: Liquid is thicker, and colors are heavier. Ocean Series: Liquid is waterier, and colors are more vibrant. 6. How is SOUL INK disinfected? We produce ink in a sterile production workshop and perform gamma disinfection on the products. We can provide customers with gamma ray disinfection reports. We add witch hazel extract to the ink to better kill bacteria and soothe pain. 7. Is SOUL INK vegan/cruelty-free? SOUL INK is born with the mission of changing tattoo art and the world for the better. SOUL INK is completely vegan and contains no animal ingredients or by-products and is never tested on animals. For artists and clients who care about the environment and animal welfare, you can choose SOUL INK with a clear conscience. 8. Is the pigment used by SOUL INK organic or inorganic? SOUL INK’s blacks and whites, plus few reds and yellows, use organic pigments, while other colors are mainly inorganic pigments. The material standards for different series and colors are different, please refer to the formula on the product label for details. 9. Does SOUL INK provide OEM/ODM services to other brands? Yes, we provide OEM/ODM customization services for customers across globe, and the minimum order quantity and cost will depend on local market conditions.
